Ministry Opportunities
Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Project for August is School Kits! They are given primarily to refugee children, helping students and teachers add some normalcy to disrupted lives. Local stores have cooperated with good discounts on school supplies. So, pick up some colorful bags on the MCC table, supply the needed items listed on the label, and bring some happiness to a needy child. Please place your filled bags on the MCC table in the hallway.
VBS Offering — This year we are collecting items for Mennonite Central Committee's Relief Kits and money to help ship the kits. We invite the congregation to join us in this effort on our VBS Sunday, August 10 by bringing in any of the relief kit items listed below or making a donation towards the shipping costs: 4-5 oz. wrapped bath soap bars; 13-24 oz. plastic bottles of shampoo; box of powdered laundry detergent; squeeze-tube toothpaste - minimum of 6 oz., leave in box; adult-size toothbrushes in original packaging; new bath towels, medium weight, dark color; hairbrush, remove packaging; 8" comb; fingernail clipper; box adhesive bandages, minimum 40, assorted; package sanitary pads, 18-24 thin maxi or ultra thin.
