Recently a group from SMC served with Mennonite Disaster Service here is a brief story:
As the water roared toward their home like an avalanche, Anna and Jerry Rucker literally ran for the lives. After days with out electricity, food, or running water, Jesus showed up in the form of Mennonite and Amish relief workers. Watch their short story and see why they now proclaim, "God is very good, all the time! and say "Thank you!" to Souderton Mennonite Church in particular. Click here for link
Mary Benner and others from our congregation have been participating in service trips to Haiti through Hope for Health several times a year. If you would like to go on a future trip, make a donation, or learn more about Hope for Health's work in Haiti, contact Mary Benner at firstname.lastname@example.org or 267-640-5120.
Care & Share Thrift Shoppes serves the local community and it also supports MCC in their Global Missions. Souderton Mennonite Church (SMC) provides volunteers on the second Thursday of every month at the Care & Share Thrift Shop on Route 113 in Souderton. If you are available to volunteer from 5 to 8 p.m. or would like more information, please contact our church office.
