Kairos Connections: Looking for God Moments
a new small group for women!

Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm

May 1st - June 5th
At Souderton Mennonite Church in Room 119

Kairos Connections: Looking for God Moments provides women the opportunity to strengthen meaningful connections with Christ and each other through group spiritual direction. For more information or to register for this group, please contact Bev Miller beverlybennermiller@gmail.com or Pastor Jen jeriksenmorales@soudertonmennonite.org.

We will spend 6 weeks companioning (being present) with each other as we experience, identify and recall the “God moments” in our lives. Through silence, sharing and praying together, we will make space for God, responding to each other out of a place of freedom in Christ. Some of the most valuable gifts we can give other believers are careful listening, freedom to grow, trust, unconditional love and acceptance, confidentiality and prayer.

This type of spiritual sharing group is based on several assumptions:

  1. God is already and always at work in our lives
  2. God loves each of us unconditionally now.
  3. We cannot figure out for other people how God is at work in their lives. We can only help direct their attention to what is happening in them and to God (with questions like, “How did you sense God as that happened?” or “What felt hopeful about…?” or “How did you feel about that?”).
  4. God wants us to hear Him, see Him, feel Him, know Him, communicate with Him, and just spend wordless time with Him.
  5. A lot of really good things happen when we give control (of our lives, of others’ lives) over to God.
  6. When individuals take seriously the responsibility to pray for one another within and outside their times together, transformation occurs.

The group becomes a spiritual community where the uniqueness of desire for knowing and loving God and the commonality of that desire is celebrated and where people want to be present to God for one another.

"The Book of John Experience"

Participants will encourage each other to take a break from their busy schedules and respond to Jesus' invitation, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and let the one who believes in me drink..." This group will aim to grow in their understanding of Jesus and deeper in relationship with Him and each other through Bible study, sharing and prayer.

Thursday Afternoons - 1:30-3pm

Emmaus Road Women's Walking Group

In Luke 24, two friends discovered Jesus was present with them as they walked and talked and shared each other's burdens on the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus. Likewise, this group is meant to give women and opportunity for friendly interaction and to be Jesus' ears and encouraging voice for each other while connecting over moderate exercise. The group meets rain or shine.

Monday nights from 7-8pm
