Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School meets weekly on Sunday mornings after worship

*Note: during the Summer a combined adult Sunday school elective is offered in the Fellowship Hall.

Each class is listed below with their location.  All existing Adult Sunday School Classes welcome new comers.

Ambassadors –  Room 305/307

We are a caring group of couples and singles in our 60’s and 70’s. We use both the Bible and topical studies to encourage discussion and sharing. We enjoy doing service projects and social activities together. We sponsor a missionary family in Guatemala.

Bible Studies for Life: Participants engage in Bible study and discussion that challenges them to live out their faith right where they are.

  • Limited Resources, Limitless God – Learn to walk deeper into a trusting relationship with God.
  • Sharing Jesus in a Post-Christian World – Study biblical principles that will prepare us to be witnesses for Christ.

Faith Seekers – Room 301

We are a “come-as-you-are” group. We are all on a journey, and everyone is welcome regardless of age or background. We laugh, love and support each other through all of life’s ups and downs. Our focus is on sharing and growing our faith, and we strive to learn more about God and to make Him central in our lives.

The Expresso Class is a safe space where participants can dialogue about current and relevant topics related to our faith.

Salt and Light: Living God’s Abundant Life: Jesus’ Identity, Mission and Hope for a Model Church is based on Jesus’ “I Am” assertions in John and moves on to Thessalonians to learn from this early church about the way we communicate and maintain relationships with God and each other.

Faithful Encouragers – Room 300-302

The Faithful Encouragers Sunday school class is open to all adults. However, most participants are over 70. Our lessons come from a study guide called “Bible Studies for Life,” which brings great discussions. We begin each class with prayer, getting requests from our class. Outside of Sunday school we enjoy connecting through varied social activities and service projects. Our class supports several international mission projects.

Sojourners – Room 304/306

Sojourners are on a group walk with Jesus. We have a wide range of ages and life experiences. We begin by sharing praises and concerns, then pray and begin discussing a topic, Bible study or book. Because we have a variety of languages spoken in class, our various leaders provide handouts/emails in any language needed for our friends for whom English is not their first language. We have social events 2-3 times a year.

December & January – Christmas and Everyday Discipleship: We will take a closer look at the familiar people and events involved with Jesus’ birth with and eye to how they teach about discipleship.

February – A Study on the Book of James: The participants in this class bring a variety of intercultural understandings to their study and discussion of James.

Young Adults – Room 124

A safe place for Young Adults to build relationships and community, to be themselves, to be curious about our Creator, and grow in their Biblical understanding. On this spiritual journey, there’s group hangouts and events to connect and relate with one another outside of the church building.
