The Pastoral Care Team

This is a team of trained lay leaders who work with the pastors to be a presence and support to those who are sick, hospitalized, in need, or facing crisis. The Pastoral Care Team provides hospital and home visits, offers communion and anointing, and seeks to offer physical, emotional and spiritual support by creating safe space and walking alongside others during challenging times. The Visitation Team

The Visitation Team provides monthly visits to church members who are homebound or in medical facilities to share God’s love and loving care from our church family.  This team reminds others they are not forgotten and even makes special deliveries around holidays.  If you would like to receive visits or volunteer with this team, please contact Pastor Jen at  jeriksenmorales@soudertonmennonite.org.

The Mental Health and Wellness Team

The Mental Health and Wellness Team is currently facilitating a study being conducted by Temple University.  This study is helping to shed some light on mental illness. We are learning to work toward eliminating stigma that prevents people from feeling fully welcomed into faith communities.
